Should I seal my grout  ?

Yes, grout is a cement product that is very porous. Sealing will not keep your grout clean but will allow it to be cleaned. Once unsealed grout is stained it may not be able to be brought back to it's original color.

When is it time to reseal my stone or grout  ?

Sealer is made to do two things; one is to protect against stains the other is to allow you to clean the surface without harming the material. The more traffic or the more you clean the more often it needs to be resealed. A good sign is when water darkens the surface it is time to reseal. Usually 1 to 3 years depending on use.
